Support Employee Benefits
Metro Nashville Government and Metro Schools offer a competitive benefits package to eligible support staff. You're eligible for benefits if you're a non-certificated MNPS support employee who regularly and consistently works 20 or more hours per week. Some benefits also are available to your eligible dependents.
Most benefits for MNPS support employees are administered through Metro Nashville Government. They include medical, dental and vision plans, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans. These plans are outlined on the Metro Nashville website. The benefits described on this website are for certificated Metro Schools staff.
Exception: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the MNPS Employee & Family Health Care Centers, described on this page, are provided and administered by MNPS and available to both certificated and support staff.

Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program, administered by ComPsych, is available to all MNPS employees and their household family members at no cost.
The EAP offers free, confidential counseling and support services. You can use it starting on your first day — you don't have to be enrolled in any other Metro benefits.
Employee Health Clinics
The MNPS Health Care Centers offer a full range of primary care exclusively for MNPS employees and their families. Services are provided by Vanderbilt Health and include care for minor illnesses/injuries, preventive care, women’s and men’s health, adolescent health, immunizations and more. Additionally, the Employee Wellness Center at Berry Hill offers an onsite pharmacy, café and full-service fitness center as well as onsite physical therapy, behavioral health, chiropractic care and more. Most insurance plans are accepted.
