Certificated Retiree Benefits

As a certificated MNPS retiree, you may continue the medical, dental, vision and hearing coverage you had as an active employee — for yourself and your enrolled eligible dependents — throughout your retirement. 

Your coverage options depend on your Medicare status:

• If you are under age 65 and not yet eligible for Medicare, you continue on the same medical plan you had as an active employee.
• If you are 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare A & B, you move to one of two Medicare Advantage plans, which include prescription drug coverage.

Both paths include the same dental, vision and hearing coverage you had as an active employee.
