Fertility Benefits with Progyny

Available to MNPS employees and their covered spouse or domestic partner enrolled in the Certificated Employee Health Plan.

MNPS offers fertility benefits through Progyny, giving you access to specialist care, fertility medications and personal support — whether you're exploring your options, trying to conceive or pursuing treatment.

What's Covered

Your benefit uses a unit called a Smart Cycle, which bundles all the services, tests and treatments in a given course of care. You have unlimited Smart Cycles per family for your lifetime, so there's no cap to track.

Covered treatments include IUI, IVF (fresh and freeze-all cycles) frozen embryo and frozen oocyte transfers, timed intercourse, pre-transfer embryology services, donor egg and sperm purchase and male-factor infertility services. Fertility medications are covered through Progyny Rx, a specialty pharmacy that delivers your medications overnight and provides 24/7 pharmacist support. Surrogacy and adoption coaching are also available through your Progyny Care Advocate.

If you're not yet ready for treatment, Progyny also offers preconception support — including personalized coaching, digital resources and access to carrier screening and fertility testing — before you ever need to see a specialist.

What You Pay

Covered services are subject to your financial responsibility under your MNPS medical plan, which may include a deductible, coinsurance or copayment. Log onto myCigna (select Coverage, then Medical, then scroll down to Fertility and Family Building) or contact your Progyny Care Advocate to discuss expected costs before you begin treatment. You will receive bills from Progyny — not from your clinic.

When you activate your benefit, you're matched with a dedicated Progyny Care Advocate — a fertility specialist who guides you through your options, helps you find an in-network provider, coordinates your authorizations and answers questions throughout your journey. Important: Get Authorized Before You Go

You must request an authorization through your PCA or the Progyny member portal before your first appointment and before each treatment cycle. This is what allows your clinic to bill Progyny directly and ensures you're covered.
