Certificated Benefits

At Metro Nashville Public Schools, we believe investing in our teachers is the best way to help them thrive, both personally and professionally. That’s why our benefits package for certificated employees is head and shoulders above many other districts. It’s designed with a teacher’s needs in mind, so you can pursue your passion with an abundance of support.

Certificated Staff Eligibility

  • You’re eligible for the benefits described on this page if you’re an active, full-time certificated employee regularly scheduled to work at least 18 hours per week.
  • Many benefits and programs are also available to your eligible dependents.
  • Some benefits and programs require enrollment in the Certificated Employee Health Plan, which also is called the teachers' health plan.

Are you a Support Employee?

Most of the benefits for MNPS support staff are administered through Metro Nashville Government and detailed on its website.
